Our text messages

AUUL sends text messages about the utility locating work we do for you: appointment confirmations and reminders, schedule changes, on-the-way updates from our crew, and billing notices (such as billing setup links and invoice notices for business customers). You only receive texts after you agree to receive them in one of the ways below. Texts come from (509) 355-9337.

• How often: message frequency varies with your jobs, usually a few messages per job.
• Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
• Stop: reply STOP at any time to stop all texts. You'll get one message confirming you're unsubscribed.
• Help: reply HELP for help, or contact us at locate@auulinc.com.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How you sign up

• On our sign-up page: fieldops.auulinc.com/text-updates. Enter your name and mobile number and tick the box agreeing to receive texts (it is never ticked for you).
• On our billing setup form for business customers (the link we email you): tick the optional box to get texts at your accounts payable contact's phone.
• By phone: when you schedule work, our office asks: "Can we text you appointment confirmations and updates about this job at this number? Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP anytime." If you say yes, we record it with the date, time and staff member, and send you one text confirming it.
• By text: text START to (509) 355-9337.

Consent is not a condition of purchase: you never have to agree to texts to do business with us.

Your privacy

We use your name, phone number, email and job address only to schedule and perform your work, send the texts described above, and bill for our services.

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the service providers that deliver our messages for us.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, HELP for help.

We keep your information only as long as we need it for your work, our records and the law, and we protect it with reasonable security.
